Alex, the King of New York
Alex (formerly named "Alakay" before living at the Central Park Zoo) is a preformer lion who was once in the wild, a cub, and with Zuba, but was kiddnaped by pouchers and unintendingly dropped to the river, On April 8, 1972 Alex arrives in New York after floating over the Atlantic Ocean when his transport crate fell into the sea. He is brought to the Central Park Zoo and proves to be very popular with the public. in an atempt to stop Marty from doing something stupid, (going to connetitcut) he ended up darted, dazed out, woke up, darted again, then later in crates, along with his other friends, and a lost fate in Marty, beleaving that the mishap was his fault, and lead to being lost in sea again, only to end up in Madagascar.
There, he was almost corrupted by the villain leage and Cobra into becoming a preditor, but he and his friends defeated Cobra and the leagers and their Foosa allies, and saved Madagascar and it's natives from slavery. he joined because he wanted to get off of Madagascar, but also to see what other worlds are there, and delopted the habbit of fighting evil. he is like the fun but cautious brother of the louge, and likely to win a talent contest of nessersary.
Alex and his friends can sometimes be seen outside of the Spongebob and Friends series (in fact, before the series even started) as one of the back-up allies to the Jungle Crew, even has his own series being made by Captain Leo lionheart.
Alex has since then appeared in the Penguins of Madagascar as Skipper's spirit guide to help Skipper remember who he was after an ambush from Blowhole.
Personality[]
The fact that Alex loses the challenge in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, and is spanked by Nana in Madagascar gives him the impression that he is weak, but this is not true, because Nana only got Alex by surprise, but was more visible when in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa he has a short fight against Nana. Alex is shown to have a superhuman level of interior physical strength, seeing that he broke the zoo's public telephone, and lifts Melman, Marty and Gloria with relative ease.
